For the weight- conscious person watching what they eat, it seems like a constant battle as we are surrounded with the exact opposite – unhealthy foods advertised attractively and packaged to go. From sweets to fatty foods, what makes them taste so good is the same reason they are unhealthy, and a reason to avoid them like the plague.

It’s bad for you, and I’m sure I am not the first to tell you this. Fast foods are filled with fats and additives to make them taste that good and the most worrying thing is that one serving of such food may contain all the fat that a typical person needs for an entire week.

A little cake slice never hurt anyone, but chances are that the frosting on top of it contains too many unhealthy fat, especially homemade frosting.

Most of these still pack an overdose of fat, despite some bearing “fat-free” labels. This is a good reason to avoid them and stick to a much healthier option.
They contain almost 100% unnatural ingredients and sweeteners, despite what the manufacturers say. The amount of sugar contained in some will shock even their most ardent defenders. Avoid them at all cost.
