From the opening bars of the theme song, sung by a minstrel with a banjo, we know we're in for the International take on Cowgirl super-hit CAT BALLOU. And this rollicking, confusing Euro-Western is just that, and more. With sexy superstars Brigitte Bardot and Claudia Cardinale as over-ripe gunslingers, and goofy horndog Michael J. Pollard as the bumbling sheriff, this trans-global cine-stew comes across like THE WILD BUNCH as remade by Russ Meyer! As you can imagine, there's tons of sweaty cleavage on view, several good cat fights, and some brief but stunning topless scenes. Fullscreen, in English, no subtitles. Quality B-
