Review: With a career that ranges from a co-starring role in Falcon Crest to more recent appearances in Farrelly Brothers films, handsome Daniel Greene was best known for his starring roles in '80s action movies. Both his sizable muscles and his easygoing charisma are on ample display in Hammerhead, an adventure story that takes the viewer from sunny Miami to the exotic shores of Jamaica.
Greene plays the tough-talking police detective of the title, who witnesses the murder of an old friend and onetime partner in crimefighting. Barred from the case because of his volatile nature, he is instead sent on a Jamaican vacation, where--'80s action icon that he is--he goes after the baddies anyway and avenges his friend's death.
Complete with car chases, martial arts action, beautiful actors of both genders, and lush settings, Hammerhead is a fast-moving flick with some humor and heart in the mix. ~ Megan Hussey Fullscreen, in English, with Greek subtitles. Quality B
